The challenge
Spaced repetition is one of the few study methods with decades of evidence behind it, and the software around it has always made you choose. The serious tool is powerful and hostile. The pleasant one rents you your own decks, stops working the moment the signal drops, and makes leaving as expensive as it can.
What we built
Kaizen refuses the trade. Your entire library lives on your own device and the whole app works with the connection off — studying, authoring, statistics, all of it — while review time is spent only where it is genuinely needed, so an hour of study is an hour that counts. Existing collections come across intact and everything you make can be taken elsewhere, because a library you cannot leave with was never really yours.
The assistant proposes, you decide
AI drafts new cards from your own material and suggests fixes to the ones you already have, but it never edits your work behind your back. Nothing is written until you approve it, anything applied can be undone, and what you paste in is used once and never kept.
